Encouraging discussion and analysis of the problem of preservation of intangible and material cultural heritage.
Developing skills for working with glass and clay.
Reproduction of traditional glass and ceramic objects
Execution of independent works — from the beginning and sketches to finished works in glass and ceramics (designing new contents).
To meet, present and establish connections between the students of the School of Applied Arts and other institutions that nurture cultural heritage and encourage creative development.
Provide students with insights into new and old work methods, traditional and modern technologies and sustainability.
Target audiences
Educators and teachers of primary schools and secondary (General and VET) schools. Depending on which institution the course participants come from, the level of complexity of the course itself is adjusted to their needs.

What You’ll Learn?
- Design and create handmade glass pane (tiffany technique)
- Create handmade traditional clay vessel.
- Through targeted activities, encourage students to master two techniques and work technologies in the areas related to glass and ceramics. Students will acquire new knowledge and master new methods. They will apply the skills that are crucial for working in the field of working with glass and making ceramics, taking into account the ecological aspect.
- By exploring the old collections of glass and ceramic objects that are stored in various city museums, students will be able to find out whether history and tradition and traditional crafts influence contemporary culture. The student will acquire knowledge about the cultural heritage of the island of Iž and Iž pottery in the second part of the course.
- The knowledge and skills that the student will acquire will be able to be applied independently in further education or in their future work.
